I made this piece, Leviathan Atop The Sea, in a metal sculpture class I took in college. I was going for a sense of scale here— the Leviathan is a huge creature, but here he is small, just skimming the surface of this particular slice of the ocean. Currents bubble up from geothermal vents down below, becoming swirling, crashing waves on the surface.
